Go Syesha, Go!

This Bellagio style fountains dance up and down to the rhythm of the music. And when it's hot, the over spray fees so good.

Yesterday I saw the last desperate attempt from the judges to manipulate the viewers votes. While Randy sided with David A. and Simon with David C. and even turned it into a feud. Paula was clear to let Syesha know this is the end of the road for her. The funny thing is that I got the most entertainment from watching Syesha perform. David A. just as I predicted was boring, and David C. was not a 100% there.

I don't think we'll get any surprises, but I must admit I am curious to see how things go tonight.

O.K.

David A. - I loved his 1st & 3rd song. This is who he is! He is not a fast-pace-pop singer. He's a "Crooner".

Yes, he's kinda young for these songs. But - hey - singing old songs at a young age is what made LUIS MIGUEL an idol to this day! And that's...20 years strong! Not to mention that Luis Miguel also had turmoil with his dad, back in the day. His personal life may not be great but his fans (count me as one) are still buying his records to this day.

Syesha - Very pretty voice. I too enjoyed her show, including
"Fever". She showed me VERSATILITY.

She was told that she missed her chance to define who she is, but I think that she totally defined who she is! She is a potential Broadway headliner. She may not be the American Idol & sell records for Simon, but she could very well sell tickets!

David C. - I also enjoyed his 1st & 3rd song (just like David A.) The song that Simon gave him is awesome and had great potential for greatness. However, he lacked the tenderness that the song requires in the soft-part at the beginning. But he did step it up at the end when the song requires strength. I'd love to hear him try this song again at the finale but with my input.

I didn't care for the 2nd song. I didn't know it & still didn't impact me.

His third song was very nice. But I could tell that the placement of the "String Section" was a give-a-way for the producers to impact us and sell him to us.

I appreciated this, don't take me wrong. I appreciated the "Bass Player" in Syesha's FEVER song too. It gave her presence.

I do feel, they should have added an element of visualization support to David A. as well though.

Well, I'm looking forward to see what happends tonight.

I go with option D. Shoot Simon and save some talent. Although I have to admit he's entertaining up to a point, then he just gets plain cruel. He's the number one reason I don't watch the show. The second reason is, even though I know everyone cant win, I cant stand to see good talent getting the boot.

When I hosted The Roadhouse Café entertainment web site, I had to play the role of Simon - SORT OF - with the exception that I was never harsh with anyone who didnt make the grade. Still the out come was the same - people's feelings got hurt, some were angry and hated my guts. Being Judge, Jury and Musical Executioner is not all its cracked up to be.
Over all I still enjoyed meeting fresh new independent talent and interviewing established singers, actors and other well known entertainers. Then the job had its perks with invitations to gigs, music samplers, coordinating with talent agents, etc - oh and the snobbery - lots and lots of snobbery **kidding about the snobbery**

Switchfoot -- "Dare You To Move". This song is from one of my all time favorite movies with Mandy Moore "A Walk to Remember". In this movie she also sang "Only Hope" also by Switchfoot.

Chely, youtube this song so you can hear it, it's actually a great song.

daveman - You can't win for losing. In order to maintain the show at the popularity level it is now they have to play their rows and make it entertaining. Randy, Paula, and Simon are just characters in the show. There has got to be a lot of talent that don't even make it to the tryouts show. Bottom line is the best one never wins, but you can't be a complete loser to make it that far anyway. In the end the one that worked the public the best will win. So for season seven many good singers got the boot too soon but was happy with the one, two, three contestants. And now next week the David vs. David showdown should be an exciting one.
