The Weather

The bug must be going around, I woke up with a slight sore throat which in my experience usually means that later on I will have a regular sore throat, but yet I am hoping that it won't go beyond that. I hardly ever get sick and I don't want to get sick now. Weather is not helping though, it's still going from hot one day to cold the next.

But let me tell you, a nice hot coffee with some home made sweet tamales made by my mom made the morning be a little bit better. I woke up and as usual I made me a coffee, put it in my travel mug and headed to the garage. To open the doors while I was carrying all sorts of things I sat my coffee on top of the washer, proceeded to take the car out the garage, locked everything, went out through the front door, drove all the way to work and it was then I realized my coffee was still sitting on top of the washer. Needless to say I felt very sleepy but I already drank a coffee and the caffeine is kicking in, so so I am finally waking up.

Weather in some places of the country being hit by Mega Storm.

Listening to the news and hearing how so many states in the country are getting hit with what are considered the worse storms to date or Mega Storms as they are being called, I can't help but feel lucky and be thankful to God for the wonderful weather we are having here in Southern Arizona. Our weather couldn't be better and I plan on enjoying it, because I know that pretty soon I will be blogging my complaints on how hot Phoenix is.

Weather here in the Southern Arizona.

By the way, I have kept up with my morning and afternoon walks. I just came back from my morning one and although a tiny bit cold it was totally enjoyable. Nothing that a jacket didn't take care of.

So for all of you my friends back east, I do brag a little bit but know that I do pray for you all to get a break from this crazy kind of weather. I definitely can't relate but seeing pictures of people trying to shovel their cars out of the snow just seems like a heck of a lot of work and looks like quite an endless task.

Tomorrow we celebrate "El Dia de la Candelaria" and we will celebrate it with a candle mass, this conmemorates when baby Jesus was presented at the temple by his parents according to the Jewish customs. This is also the day that the candless are blessed and one of the many things these candles help with when lit is to chase away storms, so I am keeping that in mind tomorrow when I get mine blessed. I'll light mine up and will think of my friends from back east.

Are you all snowed in and trapped at home?

Ah thank you Wanda, but I am actually doing a great job at fighting it. As for the difference in weather, I can't even begin to imagine what the people back east are going through. I take my desert any time of the year, yes including during the HOT summer.

Yeah, I know a ton of people who are buried in snow. Thankfully I am in good ol' Sacramento and 60 degree weather.

HOpe you feel better. We have all been dealing with that weird cold thing out here , hangs on, returns and disappears and comes back..anyway for us...

good for you going out walking twice a day. I have to get out at least once a day for an hour walking if I want to stay happy...I love being outdoors.
