In August of 1999 I bought my 1993 Mustang GT Convertible and immediately I got on the internet to find out if there were any clubs in the Phoenix area. The posting that came back was that of the Copperstate Mustang Club and so on the second Sunday of the following month I attended a meeting and became a member.
The Club is family oriented and our emphasis is on enjoying and having fun with our Mustangs, both early and late-model (1964-2006). We offer many activities that enhance our mutual enjoyment of these magnificent machines. The club hosts two large car shows each year, one in the spring and the other in the fall. Some other activities the club participates in year round are holiday parades, school half-time football parades, pancake breakfast, ice cream social, shopping mall displays, picnics, rallies, cruises, track events and occasionally we participate in a commercial promotion.
We also become involved in charitable events such as the Salvation Army "Adopt a Family" Christmas Program, the March of Dimes, and, on occasion, other charitable events and fund raisers.
Our membership has a vast amount of collective experience in restoring classics, and we share technical tips and "know how".
The Club publishes a monthly newsletter, the "Mustang Mirror", to keep in touch with all members and to report on past, current and planned events. It also contains feature articles on our Mustangs and advertisements (for sale, wanted, etc.) are free of charge to club members.
We meet once a month on the second Sunday of the month at 1:00 PM at the Community Hall of the Mount of Olives Church at 3546 E. Thomas Road in Central Phoenix.

On June 24 we will have our Annual Ice Cream Social at North Mountain Park in Phoenix at the Yavapai Pavillion, and hopefuly my 93 Pony will be there, it has been my faithful daily driver and even though it's starting to show it's age and my abuse it's still a blast to drive.

You know what coupld potentially be fun? Maybe in a few years, I could buy Loyiel a fixer upper mustang and he could join the club too. It would be an excuse for him to take up some kind of hobby, cuz you know he would wanna keep up with some of the niiiiccceee ponies we see in the shows!
With patience and a few more years I know you guys will own a Mustang of your own or any other kind of car you desire, just keep up the good grades in school and tell him that it will soon be his time to go to school too.
I'll be proud to caravan with you guys.
